The Anima Edit / Health, edited
Gut health has become a shelf of powders, tests and protocols. The less glamorous foundation is dietary fibre: the part of plant foods that passes through the small intestine undigested and supports digestive health in several different ways.
UK guidance sets an average adult target of 30 grams a day, but the useful question is not whether you can hit a perfect number tomorrow. It is whether breakfast could hold berries or oats, lunch could include beans, and dinner could make room for two different vegetables.
Increase fibre gradually and drink enough fluid; a sudden jump can be uncomfortable, particularly for people with certain digestive conditions. If you live with persistent bloating, pain, bowel changes or a diagnosed condition, personalised advice matters more than a trend.
The Anima approach is addition: lentils folded through rice, seeds over yoghurt, fruit left visible on the counter. More variety, less theatre.
Build the meal before you buy the promise.
